More on tracks

An EK dinosaur trackway. I am not sure about the track maker. It didn't leave a readable signature.

Can you spot the medium sized theropod footprint?

Yet another dinoturbation from the EK mega track site.

A cute critter posing for me.

One less cute but interesting nevertheless.

A poorly preserved giant EK iguanodontoid footprint I discovered this Spring.

Probably by a titanosaur...

Can't say for sure what kind...

Once again the recent stuff

There is a huge theropod footprint there (not visible from this angle).

The tourists have no idea this was an ancient forest (thrombolites) 100 mya.

Osage oranges anyone?

The spoiled sunset.

More recent stuff

The hunt for the tracks was very succesful!

From the mega track site the other day: a medium-sized theropod footprint that faded away through the process of dessication.

 A "micro" theropod footprint.

A small theropod trackway - indicates it was running fast!

Some recent finds

A "classic" EK polacanthidae anky footprint - natural cast (2015). Probably webbed feet. A world record length of cca 72-75 cm. Imagine the size of this armored animal!

The brightness of the Cretaceous rocks in contrast to the shades of blue and green of the Adriatic sea.
Looks like a baby "Iggy" footprint (2015). Marked red.
A large theropod (a "dromie"?) footprint lost in the sauropod dinoturbation.

Some random photographs

The Main Brijun island (Veli Brijun) in teh Summer of 2015, theropod tracks from the Early Cretaceous (Barremian) site on the Pogledalo promontory. The tracks in the picture belong to two different trackways. Right foot on the left and left foot on the right.
